Synopsis[]

SuperTed and Spotty are on the strange Planet Polly which is full of wild and weird parrots, but the poor parrots are starving as somebody has been intercepting the rockets that supply their only food… nuts. SuperTed and Spotty investigate.

Plot[]

Deep in space, a rocket freighter is delivering some important cargo to the planet Polly. The pilots do not notice a familiar rocket looming above their own ship...

Far away on the planet Polly, SuperTed and his friend Spotty learn from a parrot that someone has sabotaged the rocket freighter that brings them their Brazil nuts from the planet Earth. They head off in the Spotty Rocket to investigate. Meanwhile, Texas Pete and his cronies are trying to unscrew the hatch that will let them into the rocket freighter. Tex warns Bulk there is a lot of pressure, but the latter does not understand and gets hit by the door. The cowboy cackles and heads inside with Skeleton.

The alarm in the ship's control room sounds. The male pilot states they are losing pressure. The female pilot tells him to press the auto repair while she goes to see what the problem is. The door closes, trapping Bulk outside. He decides to use a crowbar to get back in. The female pilot can not see anything wrong, thinking it was only a meteorite hit. A familiar sinister voice warns her she is wrong, and she turns and screams in terror to see Texas Pete walking towards her with his lasso.

In the Spotty Rocket, whilst the two friends try to work out the parrot's information about the cargo ship, they learn they have a stowaway (a parrot that shouts "nuts!") Tex has tied up and gagged the female pilot who lets out muffled screams for help. He turns his attention to the male pilot and throws his lasso around him, telling it is a stick up, but can't decide what to call it and angrily gives up.

Bulk is still trying to get inside the freighter. Suddenly, there is a loud rumbling noise and Bulk screams as a shower of nuts shoots out and into space. The male pilot notices what is going on and states they will run out of oxygen. Tex immediately senses Bulk is to blame and as sparks fly across the control room, he panics and runs off to find him.

SuperTed notices spots on the ship's radar screen and notes that whatever it is, it is getting closer. Spotty hopes it isn't a meteorite storm. Nuts fly towards the rocket's windscreen, much to the astonishment of SuperTed and Spotty. SuperTed sees the rocket freighter out of control and a familiar looking rocket above it. He says his secret magic word and he and Spotty set off to investigate.

Meanwhile, Skeleton is lifting Tex slowly back up into the rocket. Tex angrily scolds Bulk for the damage he made to the freighter. Once back in the rocket, Tex orders Skeleton to close the hatch, despite the latter warning him Bulk is still outside, but does as Tex tells him before sarcastically stating that the cowboy got out on the wrong side of the bed. Tex notices the Spotty Rocket in the distance and Skeleton is worried. The rocket heads off, dragging a screaming Bulk with it.

SuperTed and Spotty have reached the freighter but not before Spotty hits the side of the freighter. SuperTed states the ship must be running out of oxygen. He successfully reaches the control room and pulls a lever, saving the freighter. The male pilot thanks him. SuperTed heads off to find Spotty so they can both stop Tex and his cronies. Although Spotty is dazed, he does his best to catch up. Skeleton warns Tex not to fly the rocket too fast. SuperTed says hello to Bulk. A horrified Skeleton sees SuperTed and tries to warn Tex that the teddy bear is approaching. He pulls the cowboy's hat down over his eyes and turns him upside down with Tex kicking the wall in fustration.

Skeleton approaches the escape hatch, but as he is about to step out, he notices Spotty standing and smiling in front of him! He greets him and states he was popping out for a stroll. Spotty advises him not to, as it's raining nuts outside. Skeleton jokes it was a silly idea and concerned, he joins Spotty so he can take him to join SuperTed and the others. Back on Polly, SuperTed states the parrots will no longer have any more trouble with their nuts supply. As he pulls a lever, Tex and his cronies slide down a chute and become covered in nuts. Spotty states any more of the parrot's squawking would drive him "nuts." The episode ends.
