Superted in the Arctic was the fifteenth superted episode on Biggest Ever Superted Video and the third episode of the second Superted series which was broadcast in 17th October 1984 on BBC1. It originally aired on 25 June 1984.
Plot[]
Texas Pete is after the rare creature of the Arctic, the Mammoth. But soon SuperTed and Spotty Man arrive, ready to fight back and save the day.
Summary[]
While SuperTed is showing his friend Spotty some video games, Texas Pete and his sidekicks Bulk and Skeleton are riding through the arctic searching for mammoths, as it’s believed that some are still out there. They bump into some walruses, who call SuperTed for help. Saying his magic word, SuperTed and Spotty set off for the arctic.
Meanwhile, Texas Pete has kidnapped an Eskimo boy and found a mammoth. The boy escapes, and Tex goes after him, ordering Bulk and Skeleton to guard the mammoth, with amusing results. SuperTed swims under the ice and finds Tex holding the boy hostage, but can’t do anything as he has become stuck.
The mammoth knocks Skeleton into Tex, and they and the boy fall into the icy water. The mammoth then stomps on the ice, cracking it and releasing SuperTed, allowing him to rescue the boy before he is crushed by the colliding icebergs.
SuperTed and Spotty then say goodbye to the boy and Tex, Skeleton and Bulk are left in a block of ice, extremely annoyed.
